Mimy Kincaid is the Head of Business Development at The Jay Odom Group, one of northwest Florida’s largest vertically integrated real estate development firms.

With her infectious passion and unwavering dedication, she has not only carved a niche for herself but has also contributed significantly to The Jay Odom Group’s remarkable journey.

Born and raised in Japan, Mimy relocated to northwest Florida with her parents and sister at age 16. While attending North West Florida State, she started her career in hospitality as a front desk receptionist at a condominium resort on Okaloosa Island. Within a year, her role would transform into a full-on sales and marketing position.

“I approached the general manager of the resort with a bold proposition – allow me to run my own office and test my entrepreneurial ideas,” Mimy recalls.

This bold move would prove to be the catalyst for Mimy’s future success. Taking the initiative, she reached out to every condominium owner within the properties she managed to earn their support for several groundbreaking ideas. Her unique approach paid off, allowing for expansion of the resort and revealing a personal path to prominence in the sales and marketing sphere.

“I’ve always had a knack for spotting opportunities and generating ideas to drive growth,” says Mimy, “but in that moment I also realized my passion for client relations, team building, and business expansion.”

Mimy’s path eventually converged with The Jay Odom Group in mid-August 2021. Jay Odom, the visionary founder and CEO, entered into ownership at the resort where Mimy was working in 2017. Impressed by her talent and potential, Odom approached her as he began rebranding and renovating the property. He recognized her ability to create, lead, and scale business endeavors and saw her as an ideal fit for his expanding team.
