Get To Know Rising Star Quinton Coleman Of “Ringside” Film
Quinton Coleman, discovered by Barbizon modeling and acting in NY, undoubtedly radiates star quality. He was chosen from the top 1% at the International Model and Talent Association, winning 9 medals and a full scholarship to the New York Performing Arts Academy. Despite offers from multiple performing arts schools, Quinton focused on jumpstarting his acting career and signing with one of the many agencies on his callback list, to hone his craft in the entertainment industry.
In Los Angeles, Quinton embraces diverse audition opportunities and collaborations with industry professionals. He values access to premier acting classes, workshops, and networking, believing they can lead to life-changing career opportunities in the entertainment industry epicenter.
Reflecting on his lead role in “Ringside” as young boxer Antonio Reyes, Quinton shares, “I finally experienced the responsibility of being the heart of a film.” He connects with Antonio’s journey of self-discovery and redemption, viewing it as deeply human and relatable.
Nominated as best actor in a recent film forum, Quinton finds it rewarding and motivating, to recognize his hard work’s acknowledgment. While Ringside has been submitted to several other film festivals by Director Victor Quintana, he has already received word that Ringside is now a semi-finalist for Best Drama at two of those upcoming film festivals. His preparation for the role involved training tips with pro-MMA fighter Blair Sannoh and his older brother Gabrell Coleman and drawing inspiration from films like “Rocky” and “Cinderella Man,” as well as admiring boxers like Floyd Mayweather. His dream co-star would be Damson Idris.
Looking ahead, Quinton envisions himself working with notable actors in high-level productions, aiming to push creative boundaries and tell impactful stories.
He also plans to “explore opportunities behind the camera, potentially directing or producing, to expand his artistic influence and represent the Latin community.”
“Ringside” is currently on its film festival run, receiving recognition and accolades along the way. Quinton extends “gratitude to Director Victor Quintana for entrusting him with the lead role, and he acknowledges the support of his friends, family, agents, and coaches who have helped him along the way.”
