Mark Wahlberg’s Flecha Is Blessed Beyond Fire & Flavor
Hours before Mark Wahlberg officially celebrated the grand opening of Flecha Cantina, his newest casual culinary concept in Las Vegas, he and his restaurant team had to put out a few fires. Literally.
“It became international news,” says Wahlberg of an outdoor heater misfire. Flames—and concerns—were quickly extinguished, but that didn’t stop social media from fanning the flames that Flecha went up in smoke.

“I probably had a hundred fires in my life,” says Flecha managing partner and co-founder Randy Sharpe. “That is the only one that kept me on the phone all day long.” Perhaps a small price to pay for doing business with a prolific actor-turned-entrepreneur like Mark Wahlberg.
But the smoke has since cleared, and it’s been nothing but good vibrations for the over 10,000 square foot dining destination with Chef Cristhian Salazar’s “Mexican Redefined” menu. “I literally live 15 minutes away from [Flecha] and my family is here as often as possible,” says Wahlberg.
“We hang out, we come to brunch. It’s nice because it’s Vegas, but it’s really geared towards the community and the locals versus on the Strip where it’s much more of a tourist attraction, which I like.”
With two locations on the West Coast, in Huntington Beach and now in Town Square south of the Las Vegas Strip, Flecha is just the latest in Wahlberg’s burgeoning business empire.
Flecha arrives in the wake of other Wahlberg projects now in the works: a Sony Entertainment film studio, and Municipal Gym, a luxury clothing and fitness concept. Investments in Wahlburgers, F45, and, last but not least, Flecha Azul tequila, round out the popular actor’s portfolio. And yes, Flecha Cantina will serve Flecha Tequila.
“But we are serving many, many other brands of tequila too. We even carry my friend Kevin Hart’s tequila,” teases Wahlberg. “We’re very supportive of each other…but if customers are interested in what additive-free premium tequila is supposed to taste like, of course, we encourage them to try Flecha.”
Wahlberg and his team say everything they do is quality across the board, because “we’re inviting you into our home.” But with the tagline “Flavor, Fire, Flecha,” they don’t mind playing with fire?
“It brought a lot of awareness to the restaurant,” says Wahlberg. “No pun intended, but we’re now the hottest restaurant in the world.”
