For Lazar, the idea was never just about the vehicles. It was about creating the right environment for the people behind the wheel.

“You had these incredible, rare exotic vehicles but the environments they were being showcased in didn’t match their level of sophistication,” Lazar explains. “I kept thinking why are we gathering around these cars at 7 a.m. over coffee, instead of creating an atmosphere that actually reflects the lifestyle they represent?”

That question became the foundation for what Concours at Sunset would become: a refined social experience blending rare automobiles with curated dining, premium cocktails, cigars, and meaningful conversation among a carefully selected guest list.

“It wasn’t just about the cars, it was about building a setting where luxury feels immersive, social, and intentional,” he says. “In a city like Las Vegas, which already thrives on high-end experiences, it felt like a natural opportunity to introduce something more refined and more aligned with the caliber of the audience.”

From the beginning, Lazar and his partners made a deliberate decision that would shape the brand’s identity: prioritize curation over scale.

“We were never interested in building the largest event, we wanted to build the right room,” Lazar says. “From the beginning, we focused on creating an environment where every guest adds value to the experience.”

That philosophy meant invitations were intentional, often extended through trusted networks rather than mass promotion. Every detail, from brand partnerships to venue selection, had to align with the same level of aspiration as the attendees themselves.

“When everything feels cohesive, it naturally attracts a more discerning audience,” he explains.

“It’s not just about showcasing cars, it’s about creating a setting where high-level individuals actually want to engage, have conversations, and build relationships. That’s what keeps the audience elevated and ensures people want to come back.”

“Excellence, to me, is about intention at every level where nothing feels accidental,” he says. “Guests may not always be able to articulate why something feels elevated, but they can feel when it is.”

“Everything from the setting and layout to the music, lighting, and flow of the evening needs to feel seamless and considered,” Lazar explains. “Ultimately, excellence is about how the guest feels from arrival to departure. If someone leaves feeling like they were part of something rare and thoughtfully put together, we’ve done our job.”

Lazar believes the future of business development is shifting away from transactional networking toward curated environments where relationships develop naturally.

“I think we’re moving away from transactional networking and toward relationship-driven environments where trust is built organically,” he says.

Lazar’s experience as a partner in Jewel Homes, a luxury custom home builder, also helped shape his philosophy around building premium brands and attracting the right clientele.

“Working in high-end custom homes taught me that acquiring the right client is everything,” he says. “When you’re dealing with multi-million-dollar builds, it’s not about volume, it’s about attracting a very specific type of individual who values quality, trust, and long-term relationships.”

That same mindset applies to Concours at Sunset.

“It’s not about filling a room; it’s about bringing together the right people who elevate the overall environment,” Lazar says. “You’re not chasing clients or guests, you’re creating an experience and a brand that naturally draws them in.”

“Whether it’s a custom home or an event, you’re building trust before anything else. And once you have the right people in the room, the opportunities tend to follow organically.”
