A Cut Above: Redefining Elegance in Men’s Grooming
At the tender age of 12, Zeke discovered his natural talent for cutting hair. Having a hairstylist mother, he was regularly equipped with clippers, inspiring him to embark on self-experimentation with his hair, eventually expanding his skills to his dad and his circle of friends.
However, as he transitioned into adulthood, Zeke veered away from the world of hair styling, convinced at that time that it wouldn’t provide the sufficient financial stability that he was looking for. He ultimately chose to follow a different path and ventured into the world of real estate, but despite his initial success, Zeke couldn’t shake the feeling that his heart wasn’t truly in it.
“You really have to know what you want out of life. Have a plan, and work hard at it.” Zeke explains.
At age 27, he made the life-changing decision to leave his real estate career behind and reignite his love for hairstyling once again. Soon after, he obtained his cosmetology license and a barber’s certification and embraced his true calling with renewed determination and passion.

After a couple of years of working at a different shop and acquiring more knowledge and experience in the industry, Zeke made the daring decision to open a new salon, TEXTURE.
With a vision in mind, Zeke took on the role of both a barber and an interior designer. Drawing from his real estate background, he meticulously designed his own upscale barbershop that would seamlessly blend luxury and relaxation.
In every element, from selecting the finest grooming products to the carefully chosen lighting, Zeke embarked on the meticulous process of designing his modern-day barbershop. The inspiration was born out of a desire to create an environment that matched his contemporary approach to grooming.
He realized that the modern man seeks not just a haircut but an experience. His impeccable taste in design, the unique vibe, and his exceptional skills continually attract many clients. And through his creative vision, he not only transformed hair but also spaces, creating an oasis where grooming became an art.
